About Us

Our History

Transmod has been providing specialist vehicle systems and mechanical engineering services for 7 years. Engineering staff hold the current qualifications and memberships:

  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ)
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)
  • National Engineers Register (NER)
  • Institute of Engineers Australia member (MIEAust)
  • QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads Approved Person (AP) Engineer
  • National Heavy Vehicle Regulator Approved Vehicle Examiner (AVE)
  • Road Vehicle Certification Scheme (RVCS) Licensee
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
At Transmod several points tend to set the company apart for customers based on the feedback we’ve received over the years. From the moment you walk through the door to when you leave, accessing services just tends to flow noticeably more smoothly. That’s because we offer a one-stop shop for vehicle modification certification. Rather than working with APs who then need to have their work and designs reviewed by an AP Engineer, Transmod does the whole certification process in-house. This cuts down on uncertainty (because you know the designs will be approved the first time) and saves you a bit of unnecessary downtime. That can often lead to cash savings too

Another benefit of this system is that you can always speak directly to the engineer to voice your concerns, make your requests and receive advice. Of the REPQ engineers available in the region, very few offer the range of services available here, like crane and Elevated Work Platform (EWP) certification. With so few full-time AP Engineers between the Sunshine Coast and Townsville, communication is key to keeping customers informed enough to act as partners in maintaining their safety so Transmod takes that very seriously. Your calls will always be returned.
